I've directed Aida, Ragtime, and Once on This Island. Ragtime is the most direct piece that takes on racism, anti-immigrant, and anti-semitic attitudes head-on. BUT, and this is important, the final moments of the show present the American ideal of a fully blended family as the hope for the future of ...

We also did 26 Pebbles, 2 seasons ago.  A very special experience as our schools began arming our security guards and the awareness of school shootings was a constant underlying hum in the minds of our students and staff members.  We were also fortunate to have the playwright attend our final performance ...

The TRAP script has various lists of doublings according to size of cast.  It's a good place to start. My actors really enjoyed working on it...the "tells," the surprise ending, the secrecy of prior to the performances, and the audience members (including a parent) who were "plants." Advice: use ...

I will say that every district ...

I am presently rehearsing TRAP and purchased 100 pair of glasses from dhgate.  $104 with no shipping fee.  It does take a couple of weeks for delivery.  We used nail polish to color the LED lights we wanted to change. It worked well with 2 coats.  Actors are having a great time with the show. --- ...

I have used ORCHEXTRA from MTI with the show.  You were able to control tempi as you tapped the beat that controlled playback.  It supported small pits at the time.  I have used Performance Tracks for all the MTI Jr. shows I've directed and the actors do indeed learn the speed of songs and even become ...

It takes time to develop a rapport with administrators so they have confidence in your choices as being appropriate for your school district. Administrators are always looking over their shoulders for negative reactions from superintendents, members of the BOE, or community members. Having reached that ...
