At graduation, students wear white dresses or navy blazers & white pants (no grad gowns). In addition to ITS cords, students wear ...

Hello, my Brilliant Colleagues! Our winter musical is Freaky Friday and I'm wondering what advice you have for building/renting/buying the HOURGLASS that needs to break into pieces but also reattach to use again. And the script says it should glow - which would be a bonus in my opinion. I'm kinda ...

Hello Amazing Colleagues, I'm considering 12 Angry Jurors for our fall play - but I have questions, can you help me out? I need a script where the genders are flexible - who licenses 12 Angry Jurors? On the Concord website, I see only 12 Angry Men -- but there is NO MENTION of being flexible with ...

I did my own cut back in 2020 when I directed a movie version of Macbeth at my school ... you are welcome to it. It's about an hour. Some scenes are quite short - which can work when doing a film, but may not work as well on stage, depending on your vision and choices. The link is here for anyone who ...

Puck often portrayed by a female actor. I cast Lysander as a female character when we did the show 4 years ago- which meant that Hermia’s father was trying to keep her out of a female – female relationship. We also included the first same gender kiss on stage at our school. I believe you could cast ...

I never have this problem because I teach the students, parents, and administrators that it violates our contract to do so. When I feel a script change is needed I contact the licensing company- usually before selecting the show- and share their decision with students, parents, and administrators. ...

We are doing in right now. No issues at all - it's full of joy and features connections between a variety of characters. Many characters get to sing solos and/or duets - so it's suited well for high schools - and the music is easy to learn. We are doing it in a black box - it's totally doable! ...

Initially, I had planned to keep the language in the show, thinking mostly high schoolers would be cast in the play. However, I ended up with several ...
