I want to use about 30 seconds max. of "in Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel in our show, Kodachrome. My license says I must obtain rights outside of Concord. I tried a copyright clearing house but they replied that they would start the process as soon as they received my $400 downpayment. We don't have that ...

About 15 years ago, one of my students pitched the idea of doing one acts in the fall and "charging" admission of non-perishable food items and/or $3.00. He even said we should try to do plays associated with love and call the evening Fall in Love: An Evening of One Acts. So, of course, we tried it. ...

What advice would you provide for students sharing wigs?  Our circumstance: two groups of 14 Hot Box dancers and not enough budget to buy 28 wigs. Do wig caps provide enough protection from "hair issues" that may "creep up"? Is there a product that would provide protection? Thanks, ------------- ...

I assigned my Theater Arts I students a project: they had to research appropriate theater behavior and theater "superstitions" After that, they wrote brief (1-2 minute) scripts a la Public Service Announcements to convey those messages. We recorded them and played them during March's TIOS over our AM ...

Hello, We, along with everyone else, are producing Mamma Mia this spring.  Does anyone have any good ideas of what we could use to simulate the beach/sand?  We are staging this scene on our large apron left and there is no balcony so a true ground cloth is not needed.  We were looking for something ...

Some solutions to this one? We present Radium Girls next week.  When our principal saw prop cigarettes on our purchase request, he nixed the purchase.  After I wrote an extensive email to him explaining the importance of that one puff at the end and how it plays into the hypocrisy and irony of the show ...

We did something unique with John Cariani's approval, of course. We had a very talented female ballet dancer who just didn't "fit" any of the other roles. We had her dress in a multi-colored soft tutu and dance between each of the scenes with the musical accompaniment. It turned out well. At the end, ...

Does anyone know if the script of the 2013 Broadway version of Cinderella is published and ready for license?  We have produced the original 10 years ago and are interested in the "updated" version.  Enchanted version, I believe, is the Brandy version. I didn't see another on the RNH site. Thanks, ...
