Bio

Jason Peck serves as Theatre Director for The Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.  He has worked at a number of independent schools including Brentwood School, St. Luke's School, and St. David's School. Jason is also a founder and Co-Artistic Director of Thrown Stone, a professional Actor's Equity company dedicated to new work. Thrown Stone directing credits include: Blink by Kate Moira Ryan (Summer Reading Series); Gwydion Suilebhan’s The Butcher, (Michael Chekhov Theatre Festival); Milk  by Ross Dunsmore (US Premiere); and last season’s  Birds of North America by Anna Moench (East Coast Premiere) . Thrown Stone acting credit: Karina Cochran’s Where All Good Rabbits Go (East Coast Premiere).

Jason’s work as a director has been recognized by the North Carolina Capital Awards, the Seven Angels Halo Awards and, most recently he received a Broadway World nomination for his direction of Birds of North America. He has collaborated with playwrights on many new works: Eric Bogosian (suburbiaActor’s Gang Theatre, West Coast Premiere), Jane Anderson (Looking for NormalMark Taper Forum, World Premiere), Mark Ravenhill (Faust is Dead, Zephyr Theatre, US Premiere), Jason Wells (Perfect MendacityAsolo Rep, World Premiere), and Charles Mee (A Perfect WeddingKirk Douglas Theatre, World Premiere). Other acting credits include: God of  Carnage (Greenwich Theatre Company); the Off-Broadway World Premiere of van gogh (Mint Theatre, NY); the West Coast Premiere of Caryl Churchill’s Far Away (Odyssey Theatre, LA); the Regional Premiere of Steve Martin’s The Underpants (Florida Repertory Theatre); and the World Premiere of R.A. White’s adaptation of the Nathaniel West classic The Dismantling of Lemuel Pitkin (Actor’s Gang Theatre, LA) among many others. His television and film credits include: In Her Shoes, The King of Queens, Family Law, The District, LA Law: The Movie (MOW), NYPD Blue, Jesse, Hollywood Safari, George Lucas in Love, and three seasons on the cult-hit Roswell. His acting work garnered him the Los Angeles Critics’ Drama-logue Award (suburbia), the Backstage West Garland Award (Dismantling of Lemuel Pitkin), and the Sarasota Herald’s Curtain Call Award (Speed-the-Plow).

Jason holds an MFA in Acting from the FSU/Asolo Acting Conservatory with a BFA in Acting from the University of Southern California.
