I did this show with actors of color included, and I felt it was not a problem.  I think in film there might be more pressure to be historically accurate, but the stage is a place for humanity and imagination.  It will work.  I did this before Hamilton incidentally, and i think that show has changed ...

WE are going to do Hello Dolly with a live orchestra, but the original recording with Channing has the dance bits heavily cut.
