I contacted several horse farms in the area and was able to borrow one. We attached a homemade top (with fringe) using zip ties and PVC pipe. Worked great, and looked great. We gave them a thank you in the program-that's all they wanted. Ginnie Bullis C. Milton Wright High School National Board Certified ...

For anyone who has done "Mary Poppins", did you request to cut anything (reprises)? It's such a long show, but I was wondering if I would be wasting my time to request cuts. Thanks in advance, for any advice. Ginnie Bullis C. Milton Wright High School National Board Certified Teacher English Drama ...

This may be rudimentary to some, but can I get advice on placement of castors on a wagon so that the wheels don't show? Last show they were placed awkwardly and kept hitting the sides and were clearly visible. Should the castors be placed near edges? Center? We have only volunteers helping and I'm not ...

Can someone recommend a mic and mask that worked well together for a performance? I dread having to have everyone mask up for a performance. Someone may have posted about this earlier, but I missed the discussion. Thank you in advance for your advice. Ginnie Bullis C. Milton Wright High School ...

Read aloud Shakespeare's sonnets---goes along w/ your Readers Theater idea. My classes are writing their own sonnet in the style of Shakespeare. I'm being very generous w/ iambic pentameter! Groups could work together to compose a program of sonnets, analyze, read and possibly write their own. Some will ...

We give all staff 2 passes (for their personal attendance) for any show. We don't discount musicals except for advance  online purchase. All seats are $10 online and $15 at the door. Actually this has helped TREMENDOUSLY in filling seats! I would never have thought that---but advance purchase online ...

We are interested in the play or musical of Charlotte's Web. Can anyone recommend a particular version? Our music department wants us to do the musical but I'm a little gunshy--afraid that we may not be able to have an audience. Admin is not promising anything as of today. Thanks in advance for your ...

This group will likely burn itself out quickly---unless they have devoted adults who can carry them forward. I would say, ignore them. It might be a difficult season to start but don't play their game. Tell them "to go for it" and sit back and watch developments. IF you plan a summer show---choose something ...

After induction into ITS, we have a policy that to remain in good standing members must earn a certain number of points each year. If they are inactive, they can be placed on probation or removed from the honor society. I know other troops allow honor cords after induction no matter what the level of ...

I totally understand your feelings of hurt and anger as this happened to me 3 years ago when I became the director when a beloved director/teacher retired. You need to push back hard. If you have an ITS organization, those who flagrantly ignored your direction are suspended from the company. Do not cast ...
