Hey Matt, Maybe you can help me today. I went through the process of adding new students, but now when I try to search for them, it just keeps saying "searching" and never finds them. Is the site having problems? Am I doing it wrong? Any advice is appreciated. ------------------------------ Chad ...

The challenges this year are enormous. However, I have chosen to look at many of them as opportunities.  Acting with a mask on requires that we focus on projecting and enunciating. A mask covering facial features and reactions means we spend time on physicality.  A student isn't feeling well and stays ...

I have an identical issue. I tried looking at the options for stay at home theatre at Playscripts, but I can't get a solid answer about how to stream the show out if I can't use Zoom.  Google Meets doesn't have the same options as Zoom so I'm not sure what the best choice is from there.  ...

Because of its comedic nature, a number of the songs can be done without challenging choreography. However, when I directed it, a couple of the numbers really seemed to call for a big dance number-"The more we dance" in particular has a big dance break.  So, I would say that it mostly doesn't require ...

Hey everyone, I'm exploring a few alternative possibilities for my summer theatre program.  One idea that came up is to put together a Shakespeare in the Park style performance that could either be streamed or performed live, if situations allow for it, that would only use about 6 actors to perform.  ...

Wow.  I can't believe that not only would your principal knowingly break the law, but would actually put it into print.   The hothead in me wants to say you should threaten to send both the letter from the principal and from MTI to the local news and see how that goes.  But honestly, if I were in ...

I would say so. When I put it on a couple of years back, we had a special matinee for elementary students. As far as I can recall, there wasn’t any profanity, sex or drug references in the show. It’s on the Playscripts website so you should be able to read it for free before you purchase it. ...

Greetings, My vice president has just resigned.  This came after some drama where she had been in charge of arranging the induction ceremony and ended up dropping the ball.  This was the culmination of several conflicts where she had simply taken on too many activities and wasn't prioritizing Thespian ...

I am also working on The Little Mermaid.  I dont know know anything about airbrushing, but we explored a couple of options for that giant scene with Ursula. First we tried a Halloween projector of giant eyes on the scrim that blinked and looked creepy with Ursula calling from offstage. Then we tried ...

Jessica,  That sounds like an amazing resource and could really help those of us struggling with similar issues. I just took over a program and have been struggling to keep the stage crew organized and held responsible to their duties. Your workbooks sounds like they are just what I need. Would you ...
