I have a grant to purchase 3 Madrigal Dinner scripts, and it expires Friday. I have been attempting to order scripts from madrigaldinner.com, but I have gotten no response. I have left messages, sent emails, etc. Do any of you have companies you use for these scripts? I have one, but I want to purchase ...

Last year, our musical director had to cancel the spring musical due to COVID. This year, he is supposed to have a fall musical (cancelled) and a madrigal dinner (cancelled). I have the spring play, but I am feeling for his students who may never get to participate in a show. I have proposed that we ...

WeVideo is really easy to use. It is usually $299 per year, but there is a link about Covid at the top of the page, and you can request free access. I put in a request this morning and was approved within 30 min. It's very simple to use, and compatible with Chromebooks. Update: After I posted this, ...

I know many of you have directed Peter and the Starcatchers. I am wondering a few things prior to taking this on as my fall play. 1) I have read varied opinions about the difficulty of the music/timing. Is it a beast to do? 2) Does anyone have any items they used for the show that they would ...

If anyone would be willing to share images of your set design for the play, "Clue," I would greatly appreciate it. I am considering it as our spring show for next year, but I would really like to see some solutions for all the rooms/doors/etc. before I make any final decisions. (Also, perhaps pros/cons ...

Our construction trades teacher uses TimeStation. He posts a QR code that they clock in and out of with their phones. It is free. Don't know if that is what you are looking for? But I like that you asked the question because now I will start using it! TimeStation - Attendance and Time Tracking ...

This is a question regarding many of your responses, and I hope it is okay to pose the question in this thread. We are converting to the 4 pt. scale based on standards, but are at the beginning stages. Would any of you be willing to share your rubrics? We adopted the National Standards for Theatre ...

We had this issue a few years ago because our actress suffered from acne on her back and shoulders. She did not have acne on her face, so no one knew how badly she had it on her back... We solved it by putting a jacket on her that went with her dress, and all was well. She was too embarrassed to tell ...

We have a contract the students sign, and one of the sayings we stick to (and they all know by heart) is, "There will be no drama in drama." One of the others that we say quite frequently, "The most important person on stage is the person next to you." I hear students self-policing quite often. If ...

One thing that a lot of schools don't have to consider is that the profits from my play not only go toward the next play, but also pay for my contest entry fees for competition speech (our speech teams are over 120 students). The nature of the beast is that the better the speech students do in large ...

We researched this topic when we wanted to do parodies. We talked with a lawyer, researched court cases, and looked into the copyright rules about parody writing. Everything we could find ruled in favor of the parody being legal. But I'm not sure that is what you are trying to do.
