We just received our rental scripts for Little Shop of Horrors and there is the usual notice that it is a rental and must be returned at the end of production. But the part where it says that you can't deface unless it is with a soft pencil is gone. Have they changed their policy? I emailed but have ...

We have an ETC Element 2 and a Yamaha TF 3 and need rolling, standing cases. They will be stored on-site and pulled out as needed. We would like them table height. Does anyone have any ideas? I contacted Road Cases but don't feel that their solution is sturdy enough. ------------------------------ ...

We need to pull our curtains (12x9 feet each) and store them for several months while repairs are made in our theater. One idea was extra large vacuum seal storage bags. Any suggestions? Thanks! ------------------------------ Scott Bier Whittier, CA "Your fear of looking stupid is holding you ...

So we are getting a curtain for our little theatre and I am in charge of getting specs together.  Is there a standard or traditional pleat and fullness for a min curtain?  It will be on a pull track, not raised.  It will be black. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! ------ ...

Have you checked with your district?  With everything on the web now, I believe that our district has a release as part of the registration packet. ------------------------------ Scott Bier Whittier, CA "Your fear of looking stupid is holding you back." ------------------------------

I am directing my first musical (well, we did Starcatcher but I don't think that counts).  I am pretty much on my own as the choir and band teachers don't want to get involved although I am hiring a former student to help with vocals.  My question is about choreography; does anyone have any choreography ...

Although we don't charge, we have 2 days of previews that happen during school.  I have teachers sign up to bring their classes.  I only show a portion of the show and use it both as an advertisement and to allow first-time actors to get the feet wet in front of an audience. ------------------------------ ...

This is my favorite play to direct and have it on a 5-year rotation.  I use a hired pianist and a student drummer. I allow an extra month of rehearsal for this production.  Sets are limited to nonexistent, this play is all about lights and sound to set locations and mood. ------------------------------ ...

I am thinking about starting a Comedy Sportz High School team and would like to hear how it went for you. How was the training for teachers and students and how much more of a time commitment is it?   Thanks!   Scott ------------------------------ Scott Bier Whittier, CA ...
