I would completely agree with working with Rick, we rented Sister Act from him this year (first time using projections) and he was really helpful to work with and fit our budget. Advice... practice without extra lighting in the auditorium. We are so used to tech working backstage or the house lights ...

My favorite gift (and you can purchase them on Amazon) are tool kits. I refer to them as "Techie In A Box" I have also given a make-up brush kit and paint brush kits . Awards are great, but these are practical and will bring a smile to their face for years to come. ------------------------------ Kendra ...

1. Does anyone have a company they recommend to rent or purchase scenic projectors that can fill a stage. 2. I'm wondering if anyone has Sister Act costumes they are looking to sell or rent. -- Kendra Knoblock, Teacher/Romeo Theatre Co. Director 62300 Jewell Road Washington MI  48065 www.ken ...

I love this show!  There are so many storylines behind each of the characters.  I think it ranks as was one of my favorite moments of teaching, we brought the show to the State Thespian Festival and the moment at the end of the play we put each character in a downlight dressed as how they envision themselves ...

Last year we were bound and determined to do a show.  I found this light, fun and endearing comedy called "The Little Town of Christmas" it is done in 12 separate scenes and we even added a dance number (Rocket style).  The nice thing about the show is if we had to worry about pulling someone from the ...

If looking to fill the seats, it's unfortunate, but choose something they know.  We have a running joke of "do you only watch re-runs?"  Children's shows, especially if you put a few elementary in the show are always a hit, Alice in Wonderland was fun, and creative.  If you have the guys The Outsiders ...

We used the disposable masks and they worked just fine.  I actually like that teenagers are forced to enunciate.  They have flesh tone color masks on Amazon and they are much less distracting than the medical blue.  We also had actors remove their mask if they were singing a solo and no others were around ...

Our district introduced us to the website Flipgri, and it was a perfect way to submit an online audition.  Very user friendly and places all of the auditions in one spot rather than your email.  Great tool for presenting performances. ------------------------------ Kendra Knoblock Teacher - Director ...

I have always used college credits to renew my certification. This time I went the route of relying on SCECH hours, well they didn't add up to 150.Does anyone recommend any online Theatre classes that are worth 1-2 college credits? -- Kendra Knoblock, Teacher/Romeo Theatre Co. My thoughts are $10 being it would be rare if only one person was watching the download. Or, $5 and ask for donations to help make up for last springs loss. Most ticket sites now offer the options of donating, and if they don't I would ask. ------------------------------ Kendra Knoblock Teacher ...

Great character show for the students. We had a lot of fun with it back in Nov.  We actually built the glowing eyes and have the IV bags (that will glow).  Looking to sell both if interested, let me know and I will send photos   I don't think it will be difficult to do with 12, make them a chorus and ...

I love this show, we open the production in January.  It is the third time I have produced it, so I think I have answers for you.  The puppets are not difficult.  I highly recommend a swimmer to be inside.  The reason being is they are usually lean with upper body strength.  They need to know the lines ...

I would have a side conversation about her commitment to the show.  She is insulting the design team by not complying  to their costume design.  I have pulled a student from a number because they spoke poorly of a costume design, it only took one and I haven't had the problem again.   I hope this works, ...
