My favorite is honestly Brecht's version - Judith Malinda's translation. It's stunning. If you're interested in reimagining "Antigone", I wrote a full-length play "The Only Living Ismene" from Ismene's perspective set at a Greek Festival with gods and mortals alike and incorporating the seven against ...

Hi friends! I know several of us are starting to plan our next show season and I wanted to shamelessly plug my work as a playwright. My interactive holiday comedy play, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas Spectacular!, made its world premiere this past December and I'd love to see it performed again at ...

I just wanted to share that my school's hybrid production of FROZEN JR with Junior ITS troupe #89748 opens this week, if you'd like to see it. Students filmed at school in masks and at home in front of green screens featuring a student designed set!  We hope you'll join us in Arendale! Fuquay-Varina ...

Hi Tiffany, I teach in a high poverty community so I started by asking around to see what would be feasible. I charge $15 for business card size, $25 for quarter page, $35 for half page and $50 for full page. I've attached my files for my adspace sheet and also the measurement sheet for reference. Hope ...

I lay out the expectations in the very beginning of the season in a contract which I spend the first rehearsal going over and part of that is commitment to the production, as well as a respectful troupe attitude.  It depends on the situation, but I try to work with them in advance as much as possible ...

Overall, I have a pretty strong troupe of actors at the school with a dedicated team of officers but had an incident with an officer and its member recently who backed out of their ITS and show contracts. I am overly patient and work with the kids to accommodate schedules, but I am curious how others ...

You may want to give them some sort of prompt or something to start the discussion on so that when the announcements start, they can continue to be engaged rather than check out.  You can put a quote up on the board and either have the kids sit in groups or each make notes/draw pictures on a sheet of ...

For the high school musical this year, I will be casting and involving in tech several middle school students in the show as the next steps of building the program.  I know this will be well received and am excited for it.  The middle schools do not have theater programs however my high school has an ...
