It can be either a comedy or drama. ...

For the first time ever, my high school has let me teach a theater 3 class.  It is small (12) which is great.  Several of the students have expressed going/participating/competing in a One-Act Festival this spring.  We live in the Southeast corner of Tennessee.  Our TTA offers a competition in October ...

Starting looking at Disaster the Musical (MTI) for our spring production.  Anyone done this show?  It is pretty new.   Issues/Concerns? Audience reaction? We have a small/short stage.  So height is a challenge.  About 12 feet up and you are in the lights.  More than 25 on stage makes it hard ...

Our Saturday shows generally are not attended very well. Then one year, we had a storm on a Sunday and did the show on Monday evening ...

I read about 15 murder mystery plays this summer. I enjoyed Out of Sight...Out of Murder. It has a cast of 10. If you want something really cheesy - look at A Murder Mystery in the Murder Mystery. If you are looking at Halloween - we did Sleepy Hallow around Halloween a few years ago - it was a big hit. ...

When I left Kansas in 1996 - I was certified in Theater, Drama, Debate, and Speech just by having a minor emphasis (don't remember the number of hours). I moved to Tennessee in 1996. Tennessee required the Praxis Theater Test for certification. I did not take it then because there was already a theater ...

We just did Charley's Aunt! It is a great farce. Samuel French owns the copyright. The kids and parents loved it. ------------------------------ Don Markham Math Teacher/Theater Director Cleveland High School Cleveland TN ------------------------------ ------------------------------------------- ...
