    Has anyone here done The Lightning Thief? Pros/Cons? Did you have an ensemble?

    Love the show, saw it off-broadway in NYC. A bit male heavy but I think it can be adapted if needed.

    I'm doing The Lightning Thief this spring! We haven't started work on it yet, so I can't speak to pros and cons, but my students are super excited. Although the show can be done with a cast of 7 doubling all the roles, I'm planning to cast each role as a separate character. The licensing also says to "look beyond traditional casting "types" when it comes the characters' race, gender and physical ability," which I also plan to do in order to accommodate my female-heavy program. The casting requirements in the show's licensing are as flexible as any I've seen, which is perfect for a high school show.
