This reference document explains EdTA's conflicts of interest policy, which protects the interest of the Educational Theatre Association when it is contemplating entering into a transaction or arrangement that might benefit the private interest of an officer or director of EdTA or might result in a possible excess benefit transaction. This policy is intended to supplement but not replace any applicable state laws governing conflicts of interest applicable to nonprofit and charitable organizations. Chapters can use this example to develop their own policies. Contact chapterrelations@schooltheatre.org with questions.
