Hans currently serves as the Director of Production for the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, Hans leads the production, technical, and artist hospitality teams and produces 50+ productions per season, including dance, jazz, rock, orchestras, chamber groups, speciality performances, and more.
Previously, Hans served as the Chief Membership Officer for the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA), home of the International Thespian Society (ITS). In this role, Hans provided strategic and operational oversight for all external relations and partnerships through membership, chapters, alumni, and business development. Hans also served as the producer of special events for the Educational Theatre Foundation (ETF), the fundraising arm of EdTA.
A sixth generation Californian, Hans holds a BA in Theatre Arts from California State University, Sacramento and has spent the majority of his career working in event and entertainment operations, with companies like Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, UC Berkeley, the National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS), and the Los Angeles Dodgers. He also served as the Executive Director for the Lenaea High School Theatre Festival prior to joining EdTA.
A current member of Actor’s Equity Association (AEA) and the American Guild of Variety Artists (AGVA), Hans was most recently seen onstage as Black Stache in Peter and the Starcatcher, Clayton in Disney’s Tarzan, and co-directed the award-winning production of In the Heights at Broadway by the Bay in Redwood City, CA.
Hans travels the country as a motivational speaker, on topics of narrative leadership, the power of storytelling, customer and experiential service, and interpersonal relationships. His clients include institutions of higher education, student service organizations, and private companies alike.
