Bio

Suzanne is a graduate of Stetson University’s School of Music and holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Musical Theater. As an undergrad, she was honored as a NATS division winner and regional Irene Ryan Competition finalist. Professionally, Suzanne has performed in multiple regional theatre productions throughout the country.
For over 16 years as a theatre educator she has developed theatre programs of excellence in the Denver metro and Central Florida areas while obtaining her Master’s degree in Secondary Education in 2012. In addition to teaching and directing, Suzanne has served in K-12 public and private education as both Fine Arts Coordinator and Department Chair. She was voted her school’s Educator of the Year in 2012 and won the VASTA/EdTA scholarship to study at the Guthrie Theater in 2013.
Suzanne joined the Patel Conservatory in 2014, soon after was promoted to Acting Managing Director and was named Vice President of Education at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts in 2015. Suzanne continues to teach and direct, serves on AdvancED accreditation teams in the state of Florida and presents workshops with an emphasis on voice, improvisation and musical theater for students and educators throughout the southeast.
