Bio

Mandy Taylor entered her teaching profession after receiving her Bachelor of Arts in English from UCA Conway. She continued her studies in Education, Oral Communication, and Theatre at UACCB Batesville and Harding University, culminating in a Master of Arts in Teaching. Her passion was first fulfilled in 2001 at Cabot Jr. High South teaching English and Oral Communication and continued as she transferred to Searcy High School in 2005 teaching 10th grade regular and honors English. The highlight of her career has been from 2008-present teaching Theatre I-III, Stagecraft I-II, and Drama Survey at Searcy High School's Performing Arts Center. When she's not in the classroom, Mandy is directing the spring play and fall musical, producing a multitude of one acts, and hosting a short film festival as well as a forensic and debate tournament. As an ACTAA member since 2001, she has chaired both the Demo Day and Recruitment and Mentoring committees. In her free time, Mandy loves running , cycling, and swimming; singing and signing at her local Church; spending time with her friends and family; and making a lifetime of memories with her husband Richard.
