Brian Benz worked for the Educational Theatre Association for over 20 years before being released during the COVID-19 crisis. As EdTA's Membership Manager, he oversaw membership service center operations, retention and recruitment efforts, and benefit fulfillment. He was also the primary resource for troupe management information.
Prior to joining the EdTA staff in 1999, Brian worked as a teacher and a graphic designer. He caught the acting bug in third-grade, when he was the most sought-after and acclaimed performer in the prestigious “Sister Joanne’s Scholastic Book Cart Reader’s Theatre.” He followed that up with a successful (if not lucrative) run in high school theatre. Over the past 25+ years, Brian has received multiple awards for his work in Cincinnati-area community and semi-professional theatre as a performer, director, scenic artist, set designer, and producer.
