Bio

Adrienne Ferguson wrote her first play for young people when completing her B.Ed at Cambridge University in 1995, and has been creating work for the school stage ever since. Throughout her 15-year career as a drama teacher in the UK and Africa, she has produced over 40 school plays and perfectly understands how to craft challenging and engaging scripts for large casts.

She is the trustee of a Scottish performing arts youth charity; an Executive board member for Action for Children’s Arts and is on the committee for National Association for Teaching Drama. Adrienne has lead Drama courses for primary teachers, written for Teaching Drama Magazine and regularly contributes to blogs about theatre, education and playwriting.

Adrienne is one of the founders of TreePress - an online marketplace connecting those who write plays with those who want to perform them. www.treepress.org
