Hello! I am in my senior year of highschool and I am having a really tough time finding a piece that clicks. I've never done a one a man or woman piece so if anyone has any recommendations please feel free to add them!

If you want to try a comedy, there's a short play for 1 Male and 1 Female called "The Witch's Night Out" that's available from Big Dog Publishing.  Here's the link:

Proof | Concord Theatricals , These Shining Lives | Concord Theatricals , Rabbit Hole | Concord Theatricals and Silent Sky | Concord Theatricals have some good, weighty man/woman scenes in them.

have some meaty man/woman scenes in them.

I and You by Lauren Gunderson is a fantastic two-character play. The characters are seniors in high school working on a Walt Whitman project. The play has great emotional range, heightened stakes, and asks actors to intently listen.

Just to clarify, are you looking for a two-hander (one man and one woman) or a solo piece?

If the former, my suggestion is admittedly basic -- all the scenes in Almost, Maine are two-character scenes, and they range from hilarious to heartbreaking.

I also second the suggestion of I and You, which is a beautiful play.
