  • 1.  Performance for the Senior class

    Posted 05-24-2022 09:02
Each October the school has a special day for the senior class that involves, among other things, a performance by my Advanced Drama class. The past two times we have performed How to Screw Up Your College Interview, which has gone very well. I am more than willing to perform it again next year but wanted to see if anyone had suggestions for other plays that the senior class might like. The main requirements are that it needs to be a comedy, it should be vignettes so we have enough roles for my drama class, it should be around an hour, and it should have something to do with high school or college. And the sillier the better!

You may want to take a look at "University" by Jon Jory. I was in this one back in college and it's a great show made up of mini-plays (vignettes) and pretty versatile casting wise. Different characters in different vignettes working their way through college life. You can perform all of the vignettes or just a few depending on what you what you want your performance to be like. Jon Jory has also recently updated the script under a new title "University: A New Generation". I haven't read this one but imagine it is very similar to the original in style.
