Does anyone have any ideas for a musical that is more girl cast.  I only have about 4 young men vs about 15 - 20 young women.  It would be for middle school and high school?

Seussical the musical! Most roles can be played by anyone!

Take a look at Godspell. It only requires 2 males, the rest of the cast can be male or female. The show is incredibly versatile to cast size and featuring the strengths of both singers and actors. Our school has done this show three times in the last twenty years and it has been a hit every time. One of my favorites.

Hello! We did Annie this spring and are doing Matilda next year. We also did Into the Woods Jr. with mostly women.

Take a look at "Oh My Nellie Bly" at Concord.
    16f, 8m, flexible casting.

I did Brenda Bly, Teen Detective a bunch of years ago when I was teaching at a middle school. Kids loved it. Fun music, heavily female cast (13F/4M).

If you're open to something new, Stealing Shakespeare has only had two productions.    Teenage level and no profanity, the story takes an uncertain Shakespeare on a chase to retrieve a stolen play where he learns much about himself and gets ideas that will inform his greatest works.   Free perusal.    Sheets for four piece orchestra as well as canned music.    Very inexpensive.  Simple sets and costumes.

I can offer "A Running of the Bulls",  2 high school seniors battle bullies, put down prejudice and stand up to stereo types for the chance to sing their song at the rock concert of life.

I have included the script and a Soundcloud link to the songs. All music is digital and licensed for use.   Script can be tailored to meet your cast needs.
