    Hello!

Looking for a play with substance for 16 actors.  Our shows must be under an hour.  We've recently done Radium Girls (loved) and Phantom Tollbooth.

    Many thanks!

I just read SPOKEN WORD by Joe Calarco.  It has exactly 12 female and 4 male characters.  It's timely.  It's set in Germany in 1943 and in the US in 2033, and it's about resistance to government oppression.  The characters are a group of young protestors in the near future.  They're hiding out when they start getting text messages that may have come from the White Rose group - young Germans who opposed Hitler during World War II.  It's published by TRW Plays.

"Queens (one-act) by Kristen Doherty is very good: https://yourstagepartners.com/queens-one-act

Claudia Haas has a couple of great ones that could fit. "Antigone in Munich" (https://yourstagepartners.com/antigone-in-munich-one-act-version) and "Soundscapes" (https://yourstagepartners.com/soundscapes-one-act).

Del Martin's "The Hauntings at Cedar Park" is for 16 actors and is gender flexible: https://yourstagepartners.com/the-hauntings-at-cedar-park

You can read all of them for free.
