THEATRE TEACHERS - I NEED YOUR BRAINPOWER!

Three students engaged in a tech theatre workshop

I'm on the hunt for the perfect 15-minute play to use in a hands-on technical theatre summer workshop, and I want YOUR best recommendations.

    Here's the goal:
I need a short play that's a goldmine for teaching ALL the elements of technical theatre - lights, sound, set, props, costumes, maybe even some fun effects or creative staging opportunities.

    What I'm looking for:
    • 15 minutes or so in length
    • High school-friendly (and actually engaging!)
    • Something students would enjoy reading, not just tolerate
    • Strong potential for creative design choices
    • Clear moments for cues, transitions, and storytelling through tech

Thanks for your suggestions and responses.

    Russ

"The One True Goddess of Acropolis High" published by Big Dog Publishing (www.bigdogplays.com) requires a thunderbolt (both sound and visual effect), echos, costumes for Greek goddesses, hair with snakes in it (for Medusa), fake blood for zombies, a scene on Mt. Olympus, crowd sounds, etc.
