I'm possibly interested in doing a radio play (or more depending on the length) for our fall show,  I'm looking for shows to be looking at.  It definitely needs to be female heavy or flexible.  Any good suggestions that I should check out?  Thanks.

In 2020, my female-heavy, one-act radio play, "The One True Goddess of Acropolis High," was a finalist in the Marion Thauer Brown Audio Scriptwriting Competition.  I'm attaching it here if you would like to take a look at it.  Note that the first page is just the entry form that was required for the Marion Thauer Brown competition.

While I'm retired from teaching drama now for a number of years I do have a fairly good collection of radio plays that we performed live on KVOI - AM in Tucson.  It was an hour show, but with commercials (how can we miss those!) the plays ran about 45 to 50 minutes.  If you're interested I can send you some titles to consider.  I'm "old school" ie I'm not very savvy on the computer but I'll try and attach a photo of one of them.  - -  Steve Halper, Salpointe Catholic H.S.  Tucson, AZ

    Hi Jennifer,

You may want to check out a couple radio plays we did to much success.  War of the Worlds: The Panic Broadcast by Jon Jory and Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play by Joe Landry. Both are a lot of fun and have somewhat flexible casting. Both also require actors to perform foley sound live on stage which is a great addition to the show and a great skill for the actors to learn. Playscripts (where I found these shows) has a number of radio plays worth checking out.

    Happy hunting and good luck!

The 'Edgar Allan Poe Afterlife Radio Show" is a fun and flexible option: https://www.playscripts.com/play/4783
