I'm looking to do a script study in my two theater classes. The 10-person class will be doing And Then There Were Done by Agatha Christie. The OTHER class has two boys and two girls, and I'm looking for ideas of your favorites.

Criteria: 2 male and 2 female roles (could do 3 male 1 female), preferably a unit set. I'd like to do an in-class reading, maybe stage a few scenes for a lesson in staging and focus. I also want to do a scenic-design extension activity - hence the unit set.

Really wanted to do Virginia Woolf but it's a bit edgy for a bible belt high school group. Same with God of Carnage. I'm checking around, but anybody got any good suggestions?

What about Check, Please? There's 2 & 3, as well.

Update: I lost two of my four students - one to work study and one to football - so now I'm looking for 2 person full lengths - as well as ANY other ideas for a 90-minute, 2-student theater class! *SOB*

Look at Lauren Gunderson's work! She has loads of plays for very small casts. I and You came to mind first. And Ten/Two from Theatrefolk is good for class scene work!
