New Troupe leader here...I was a member in high school and try as I might I can't remember. Can the scholar awards be awarded more than once? If a 10th grade student reaches the threshold and maintains it for 11th and 12th Grades, do they get the award each year?
Thanks!

Subject: Determining Scholar status...
From the Thespian Handbook
Thespian scholar distinction. Officially inducted Thespians who demonstrate high academic success in overall coursework may earn the distinction of scholar. The scholar distinction always follows the student's ITS rank to create his or her full designation: Thespian Scholar, Honor Thespian Scholar, or National Honor Thespian Scholarr. Troupe directors may award the scholar distinction if:
- The student has been inducted officially into ITS through the EdTA home office.
- The student is currently enrolled in the school and a member-in-good-standing of the school's ITS troupe.
- The student has earned a minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or its local equivalent for all academic coursework as determined upon completion of 10th grade or any official grading period thereafter for Honor Scholar. Students with a 3.5 GPA become Vice President's List Scholars and students with a 4.0 GPA are awarded the President's List Scholar distinction.
- The student has fulfilled any additional local criteria required by the troupe.

Probably a broad range of opinions on this (well, as broad as having two options can be), but wanted a clue.
In determining the eligibility of a student for the Scholar, VP Scholar's List, and President List, which GPA figure do you use? When I'm looking up my students' GPA, there is an unweighted or weighted value. The weighted value tends to be higher.
Am I to use the unweighted one, or does anyone else use the weighted (i.e. potentially above a 4.0) to assign the status? Your thoughts and words are appreciated!
