- Professor Plum, Colonel Mustard, Mr. Green - Dinner-party attire for men. The Colonel could have a military-themed outfit (not required).
- Miss Scarlet - usually an alluring cocktail dress (understanding that we are in high school and modifying as appropriate)
- Mrs. White - usually a somewhat-severe dress
- Mrs. Peacock - dinner-party dress for an older woman
- Wadsworth: Butler uniform
- Yvette: Maid uniform
- Cook: Cook uniform (whatever you feel that looks like)
- Policeman: Cop uniform
- Motorist - Casual costume, possibly a raincoat
- Singing telegram girl - Bellhop costume is what this usually looks like, but not necessary.
- Mr. Boddy - a suit, should look gangster-y
- Police inspector - suit, hat, should probably look gumshoe-ey
If you are doing it in period, you want to research a late-40's, early-50's vibe.
Many productions of the show choose to "color code" the player-piece costumes with the color indicated by their name, but that is not required. Follow your designer's heart.
All the costumes for Wadsworth, Yvette, and the 'game-piece' characters should be clothes you can MOVE in - they will be sweating! But having a ball - this is a very fun show.
