I am reaching out with a heartfelt request on behalf of our theatre department. Our incredible technical director was recently injured, and while we are deeply grateful that he is recovering, the timeline for his full return remains uncertain. With only a few weeks remaining before the opening of our production of Hadestown (May 15–17), we want to ease the burden on him and support our tech students in every way we can.
To help ensure the show can go on without added stress, we are hoping to borrow set pieces from neighboring schools in the Dallas, Texas area. If your program has any pieces that you've used for Hadestown and could be loaned, we would be incredibly grateful for the support. We currently have an elevated platform with two staircases for the Fates and Hades, and a bar, but are still in need of additional structures and details to bring the underworld and stage to life.
We do have access to a truck and can arrange pickup. If you are able to assist or point us in the direction of someone who might be, please feel free to reach out. Your generosity would mean the world to our students and staff during this unexpected challenge.
Thank you so much for considering, and for all that you do to support educational theatre.
Warm regards,
