This is the first time our Troupe is attending.  Can you please give me guidance on when my upcoming seniors (2023 class) will be notified for in person call backs at ITF?  Thank you!

    Our first time, too!

My upcoming senior has gotten a couple of emails from colleges. As far as she has read, it is up to the individual colleges how quickly they will notify.

Hope that helps. I know this will be an anxious week for all of us. Looking forward to a great festival week!

In the past, colleges will make lists and post them somewhere in the exhibitors area for folks to check.  Some of them write the students name on a business card and tape it to the board under their college name... some just make a one-sheet list of names.  The boards get updated as the reps have time to take breaks, etc.  But it is very similar to posting a cast list and the excitement of students seeing their name (or their friends' names) posted is fun to watch.

Students should be sure to check this list without waiting until the last minute, be aware of when exhibitors will start to pack up and clean up.   Or the call back sessions could have already passed as well.   One more thing to add to the busy schedule - but so rewarding for everyone!

    Hi Melissa,

Yes, in the past, what you describe is an accurate portrayal of what happened. However, that is not the case this year. Each student submitted a virtual audition which was provided ahead of time to colleges in attendance at the festival. Colleges are then responsible for reaching out individually to each student to schedule a time to meet one-on-one in the exhibit hall, or for an in-person callback that they can schedule together for a specific time at the festival. It is completely up to the colleges to reach out to the students they wish to meet with. I would encourage all students to regularly check their inboxes (and spam folders) up to and throughout the festival, as colleges may reach out at any time.

I hope this adds clarity to how things are intended to function in this newly reimagined ITF.

    Thanks!
