Kathleen Woods has over forty years’ experience as a theatre educator and director. She has earned recognition for her work at the local, state and national levels. She is currently the Theatre Program and Thespian Troupe 909 Director at Palo Alto High School, where she has been for thirteen years. Kathleen has served on the California State Thespian Executive Board and is a member of the Northern California Thespian Leadership team. She also arecently completed five years as a member of the California Educational Theatre Association Board (CETA) and was honored by CETA as the Outstanding Theatre Educator for 2012. Kathleen also has experience working with students of all ages, including college, as well directing in professional theatre. Ms. Woods is an enthusiastic advocate of theatre education and feels very fortunate to be able to share her love of theatre with students and the Palo Alto community on a daily basis.
