I live in a small, rural community in the corner of Northeast Iowa that just so happens to be as diverse as a major city. Postville is home to a kosher meat packing plant, so we have a big Hasidic Jew population, in addition to people from Mexico, Guatemala, Somalia and Eastern Europe.
I have been fortunate enough over the years to hold several positions within our Fine Arts department, which is my passion. My wife is a 7-8 teacher at Postville and she is also the director of Junior Thespian Troupe 89457. I am also actively involved with the Iowa High School Speech Association, serving as a district officer since May of 2018.
