I am the Director of Theatre Arts at Floyd Central High School in southern Indiana, where I have worked since 2010. I assumed my current position as Director in 2012. I have been passionate about theatre education since I was a kid, attending the International Thespian Festival as a student delegate. I strive to be a jack of all trades when it comes to the many facets of the theatre; my background includes musical theatre performance, directing, scenic design, arts management, and theatre technology so I enjoy being able to integrate all of my interests into my role as a theatre educator at the high school level. I also have an extensive background in outdoor education as well as inclusive programming for persons with disabilities. I believe that quality theatre education should be accessible to every child and I am dedicated to creating an environment where students are challenged to do more than they ever imagined they could, especially when working with each other.
