Mark has been teaching theatre for 25 years. He has directed over 150 production, having students/productions being recognized in both UIL and the Tommy Tune Awards. His musical productions are nominated almost every year as best musical for The Tommy Tune Awards. He still holds the record for most awards won in one year, 9 total, for his production of Urinetown. As a performer, he has performed throughout the Midwest, as well as currently performing as a member of Caring Cabaret, a company of Houston local artists that raises funds for many non-profits such as Bering Omega, and Wounded Warrior Project. As a professional director, he has directed projects for many local theatres including the Christmas Extravaganza at Moody Gardens. He has developed and created musical theatre program for young children to discover their love of theatre. He has increased the theatre programming at Clear Springs High School from approximately 100 students to over maximum capacity. He also piloted for CCISD the implementation of a four year musical theatre class. This class now sets the standard for all CCISD theatre programs.  Mark is a two time winner of the NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) - Musical Theatre Division.
