Bio

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Acting from Messiah College and a Master of Fine Arts in Directing from Temple University, where I had a university fellowship. Prior to starting the Drama program for AFMS, I taught theatre for 6 years at Ligon GT Magnet Middle School. Before moving to NC, I spent 15 years working in Pennsylvania as an Adjunct Professor, Education Director, and professional artist and teacher. My past productions have been invited to the New York International Fringe Festival, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. I am a recipient of a 2018 NC Theatre Conference Award for Outstanding Direction for The Outsiders, and my drama program was honored with the City of Raleigh Fred Fletcher 2019 Volunteer Award.

You could say that I got “the bug” early; growing up in the theatre working on my father’s college productions inspired me to become a drama teacher. I love helping young people develop confidence in their artistic pursuits.
