Bio

Jeff Whiting is a director and choreographer with work on Broadway (Big Fish, The Scottsboro Boys, Bullets Over Broadway), National Tours (Hairspray, The Producers) Television, Special Events (Disney) and Concerts (James Taylor at Carnegie Hall) around the world. He is also the creator and founder of Stage Write Software, the patented digital method for documenting staging and choreography, the Founding Artistic Director of The Open Jar Institute, a premiere music theatre training program connecting young artists with legendary performers on Broadway, and is also President/CEO of Open Jar Studios, a 50,000 square-foot rehearsal studio dedicated to the development of art and the continued development of the artist.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Whiting formed The Broadway Relief Project, a coalition of Broadway artists, who built over 50,000 hospital gowns for the NYC Public Hospitals and manufactures PPE for use across the world, providing work for over 400 individuals in the Broadway community.
