Stephen Eldredge has acted, directed and taught theater for over 30 years in New York, San Francisco and New England. He founded the theater program at Northampton High School in 2005, where he continues to teach, mentor, produce and direct the most lively, creative student body imaginable. Stephen has directed Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, As You Like It, The Madwoman of Chaillot, The Rimers of Eldritch and Key Exchange for Northampton High School, and Much Ado About Nothing for the Hampshire Shakespeare Young Company. He co-founded the Young Company in 2000, serving as company mentor from 2000-2004. Stephen directed High Tide, featuring NHS students, for the 2013 Double-Take Fringe Festival in Greenfield, MA.
Recent acting appearances include the title roles in Moliere’s Don Juan for Old Deerfield Productions and Shakespeare’s Richard III for Hampshire Shakespeare Company; Scoop Rosenbaum in New Century Theater’s The Heidi Chronicles, Frank Sweeney in Old Deerfield Productions’ Molly Sweeney, and The Father in Six Characters in Search of an Author for Smith College (with daughter Theo Grace as the little girl). Stephen was very excited to appear with the renowned Ha-Ha's improv comedy troupe in 2014's Scripted/Unscripted, a collaboration between improvisers and actors.
