Bio

Bethany Bohall is a San Antonio-based arts administrator and theater teacher with over twenty years’ experience. She has been serving as the Wanda Wiley Atkinson Director of Fine Arts at the Tobin Fine Arts School at Saint Mary’s Hall since 2008 and is the recipient of the Jaime Armstrong Bennett Award. Previous employers include Segerstrom Center for the Arts in California, where she worked as the Assistant Director of Education Programs. At Davidson College, in North Carolina, she oversaw the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) Residency as the Director of Artist Residency Programs, where she spearheaded symposia, workshops and events related to RSC productions. At the City of San Antonio’s Office of Cultural Affairs, she served as the Special Projects Manager of the Cultural Collaborative, the city's cultural plan. In the 1990s, she worked on the ground floor of emerging theater companies, and taught theater at New World School of the Arts, Miami-Dade Public Schools, and at Nova Southeastern University. From 1986-2000, Bethany was a working Equity actress, receiving the 2000 South Florida Theater Critic's "Best Actress” Carbonell Award. Bethany holds a BFA in Drama from the University of Miami, a Certificate in Arts Management from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and a Master of Arts Leadership and Cultural Management from Colorado State University.
