Myndee Fleury Washington is an actor, director and costume designer, as well as the director of theatre and music at Union Park Charter Academy. She also teaches costume design at the Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts at Ruth Eckerd Hall. Favorite roles include: Tessie Tetterby (What in the Dickens Happened to Scrooge), Rachel Lynde (Anne of Avonlea), Golde (Fiddler on the Roof) and Sophie (Star Spangled Girl). Directorial credits include: Annie, Suessical, Take It Easy (twice), Rogers’ and Hammerstein’s Cinderella (twice), 6 Dance Lessons in 6 Weeks, Forbidden Broadway’s Greatest Hits and I Never Saw Another Butterfly (twice). In 2014, BroadwayWorld.com named her the “Best Costume Designer in Tampa Bay” for her work with the Patel Conservatory production of “The Tempest”. Mrs. Washington holds a BA in Music Education with a concentration in voice and theatre from the University of Tampa.
