I taught theatre and directed shows for 10 years in PA and 30 years in CA, retiring in 2016. At Bakersfield High School (a large, city school in CA with a very diverse population), I taught theatre full time and directed at least 4 productions a year. I was a Thespian Troupe Director in PA and in CA. I was a member of the CA State Thespian Board, and I am a Member Emeritus presently. I took students to state festivals almost every year of my career, and I also took students to the International Thespian Festival at least a dozen times. Theatre has always been an important and joyous part of my life!
