Bio

Hope Hynes Love has been a theater educator for twenty years and is currently the Artistic Director at East Chapel Hill High School in Chapel Hill, NC (www.east reservations.org) and held the same position at C.E. Jordan High in Durham, NC since 1996.

She has worked as an actress and director in the Triangle region of the Carolinas for twenty years. Hope has directed Eye of God for Peace College and Boy Gets Girl for Deep Dish Theater, as well as the southwest regional premiere of Mac Roger’s Universal Robots. Her most recent role was as an ensemble member of Burning Coal's Iron Curtain Trilogy, which celebrated the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Iron Curtain by producing all three of David Edgar's Iron Curtain plays (Pentecost, Shape of the Table and The Prisoner's Dilemma) in repertory, with a premiere in Raleigh, North Carolina, followed by a tour on London's West End.

Last year, she and her students collaborated with Creatively Independent to develop an original musical based on the songbook of Ani DiFranco, A Fire Just Waiting, which will be produced in the Boston area in the spring of 2016.
