Scott has extensive experience in several areas of the entertainment and production industry. He has produced trade shows, training workshops, and industry presentations. He has served as production manager, stage manager, designer and/or technical director of numerous productions throughout the country. His artistic strong suit is lighting design, followed by sound and scenic and is a member of United Scenic Artists local 829.
He has been actively involved with the USITT and served as chair of the NY section in the late 2000's. He has a long history of giving back to the community via teaching theater design and technology at multiple levels from middle school through University and beyond. He has often consulted with departments of education about their theater curriculum and how it can be bolstered via collaborating with CTE initiatives.
Unique to Scott's background, and a great conversation starter, are his years serving as a licensed Captain on several yachts including John F. Kennedy's former yacht, the Honey Fitz.
His numerous workshops and presentation sessions have been given at convention centers and venues around the country. His experience with permanent and/or temporary staging equipment and their challenges and his ability to reach out to his extensive network of contacts makes him an exemplary problem solver.
He has worked in theaters around the USA and London while serving as a union stage manager and/or lighting designer for various productions; including his favorite theater, the historic Radio City Music Hall.
Broadcast television is also part of Scott's repertoire. His work has appeared on all the New York City News programs. It has also been seen on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, TNN, CNBC, overseas television and GOOD MORNING AMERICA, 48 HOURS and REGIS PHILBIN.
Scott keeps abreast of the latest lighting equipment, lighting systems and current consoles via close relationships with leading manufacturers.
