I am fascinated by classical , extinct performance forms, and creating original works. My performance training at Lecoq School in Paris and at the Experimental Theatre Wing in Paris focused on mask improvisation and mime. My undergraduate studies were at Tisch School of the Arts NYU where I studied at Circle in the Square Conservatory program. My solo performance "Ego Rites" won "Best of the SF Fringe Festival." I worked with Theatre of Yugen in San Francisco, was a founding member of Pacific Playback Theatre in San Francisco and started NOLA Playback Theatre in 2006 as a response to the Katrina levee breaks disaster. I collaborated with ArtSpot Productions in New Orleans and was an original collaborator of "Nita and Zita" which won an Obie award in 2006. I was a writer and performer of "Swimming Upstream" co-produced by V-Day (Eve Ensler) and Ashé Cultural Arts Center in New Orleans with a national tour and performances in New Orleans Superdome and at the Apollo Theatre in NYC. Before pursuing a Ph.D. I taught acting, movement, and mask improvisation at Loyola and Tulane Universities in New Orleans. I am in my third year working with high school students at Christ Episcopal High School.
