I am currently an independent Theatre Educator/Enthusiast and Drama teacher at New Life Academy of Excellence and Victory World Christian School. Additionally, I am also the Founder and Artistic Director for Kids & Plays Youth Drama.
Kids & Plays goals are to instill a sense of pride, accomplishment, and effective intra and inter personal communication skills in children using theatre as an alternative and creative educational arena. This is accomplished through the Program’s Enhance, Encourage, and Enable (E3) Philosophy:
- Enhance a child’s God-given gifts to develop a sense of self and a desire to explore their creative talents on stage
- Encourage the exploration of these artistic gifts as a way of understanding their environment through creative expression and drama
- Enable the opportunity to learn, develop, and grow through the art of drama using those gifts to build their self-worth and self confidence which allows them to flourish by creating and performing in staged productions
Kids&Plays produces two school plays annually (one each school semester) allowing parents, teachers, family and friends to witness and share in the child’s accomplishments.
