Ashlan Fabiano currently has the position as the Theatre Teacher at Bishop England High School. She teaches Theatre 1, 2, Advanced Theatre Honors, Musical Theatre Honors, and Shakespeare Honors. Fabiano directs the fall and spring theatre productions. She has many experiences in theatre education, starting at Murray State University.
Ashlan graduated from Murray State University with a BA in Theatre and Journalism and Mass Communications. While attending Murray State, she was active with all productions and the theatre organization on campus, Sock and Buskin. Other experience includes behind the scenes as a director, stage manager, house manager, or designer. Her primary focus was acting and directing and has organized and taught many seminars on acting and directing techniques and philosophies.
The summer of 2011 and in January through March of 2013, she worked for Missoula Children’s Theatre. Ashlan traveled with a touring partner and taught Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (MCT) musical to 5 to 18-year olds. It was here that she developed teaching techniques for acting with younger people and honed her skills in directing. She also conducted workshops on stage and special effects make-up, improvisation, and movement.
