Has anyone used Google Meet? We are a Google school, and I know we're having a workshop about Google Classroom (which I've used in the past - mainly going to see if there are any updates I've missed hearing about). I have seen that there is an add-on to give you a grid view similar to Zoom. Like all ...

Remind does allow students to reply, you just have to click on each one and turn on replies. Then you can send messages back and forth. I've been doing that this week. You girls and guys may or may not be aware of a project started by Rob Myles - the project's goal is to read all of Shakespeare's plays in the order they were written. It is called The Show Must Go Online. https://robmyles.co.uk/theshowmustgoonline/ They have already read The Two ...

Thank you very much for sharing, Scott! I love it when people think outside the box! I know a lot of English teachers that are struggling because Shakespeare is how they usually end their year. ------------------------------ Jennifer Vernon Piggott AR ------------------------------

I would definitely contact the superintendent. It is time to do it, in my opinion. Clearly express you are trying to prevent the district from experiencing legal repercussions, fines, and headaches that can simply be avoided by staying true to the terms of your legally binding contract. By the way, ...

My school is an ULTRA CONSERVATIVE area. I wanted to stage Arsenic and Old Lace. As you likely know, there are about 20 lines in the three act play involving mostly "hell", a couple of "damns", and a couple of "G*d" instances. I consulted my principal at the time (now superintendent) because he has oversight ...

We always do a full-length show with a reduced admission fee during the day. At times, we have done two productions like this, but most recent shows have only had one. We also sell concessions our stage is in the gym) at this show. It is the show where we make the most money. I am in rural Arkansas, ...

Jodi is correct, but I believe Mr. Zolidis said that one was a commissioned work, and it will not be available for licensing until the people that requested it have done it. *Before sending I was thorough this time. Below is what was sent out by Mr. Zolidis regarding the play Jodi mentioned: "Brand-New ...

Our music department did the show this past spring. I inquired about the addition of a chorus to Tams-Witmark. The response I got said: "You are permitted to have additional chorus members as long as no speaking roles or character names are given." Hope this helps! ------------------------------ ...

FYI, several other playhouses are starting to add the option of purchasing a license that allows you to video your show for archival purposes and give copies (NOTE THE WORDING. YOU MAY NOT SELL THEM) to each cast and crew member. I know Playscripts does this for several shows. The video licenses for ...

Sewing is not my strongest suit, so I'm seeking a good place to get 40s style clothes at a reasonable price quickly for the members of our ensemble. Does anyone have any recommendations? ------------------------------ Jennifer Vernon Piggott AR ------------------------------

If you have staged this show, I was just wondering where you broke it for intermission, if you had one. I was thinking the logical spot is after the first commercial, but I am just curious if anyone has done something different. Thanks in advance for sharing what you did. ------------------------------ ...

Our school starts before 8 a.m., and the doors don't open until 7:30, so before school rehearsals would not work for us. However, thanks for the suggestion! ------------------------------ Jennifer Vernon Piggott AR

Some of our rehearsals are in the classroom. Some nights we are getting the gym, and some nights pee wee basketball is getting it. We have even been known to rehearse in a hallway or the school library. ------------------------------ Jennifer Vernon Piggott AR

I am trying to determine the appropriate amount of time to rehearse a straight full-length play. My situation may be somewhat unique, because our only stage is in a gym. The stage is shared by the cheerleaders, band, and drama. A coach has an office on the stage as well, and, of course, the gym is used ...

Hi, everyone, I am starting to look at potential Christmas plays, and I was just wondering if the group could provide some insight into the many versions of Louisa May Alcott's Little Women and Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. Do you have a favorite version of either you would recommend? We did ...
