Look at the plays of WWII, such as THE HASTY HEART, MRS MINIVER, THE CLOCK, etc. The 1940s and 50s were a time of lots of patriotic material due to the war effort. Samuel French probably has more of the older plays. ------------------------------ Floyd Nash ------------------------------

The district uses it for training and meetings. The lighting grid is built in to allow for any configuration ...

If their teaching classes lasts 8 weeks, and they are creating a show at the end of the 8 weeks, I think that this would be the same as directing a show. . . How long is the performance? That would decide for me if I was awarding points for a full length show or a one act. ------------------------------ ...

Tuxedo Wholesalers is a good source for mens period wear at reasonable prices as well. I just looked at the Gentlemens Emporium website, and they seem to have quality merchandise, but also expensive prices for the average school or community theatre. ------------------------------ Floyd Nash ...

I directed PIPPIN many years ago, and got a talented art student to build us a hand puppet for the duck which worked very well. The puppet was a combination of rod and hand puppet to allow for movement of the neck and head. For the torch, I had the "mad pyro man" carrying an unlit torch and a large ...

I directed A MURDER IS ANNOUNCED by Agatha Christie 4 years ago at our school, and it was extremely well received. Plus it is a cast with more women than men, which most of us are always looking for. And even if it isn't a well known title in your area, you can promote it as a Miss Marple play. - ...

All that the actor had to do Was pull tje cords on tje side of the trellis after watering the seeds, and tje plants grew ...

if your district is like mine, all of your lighting equipment is on the schools inventory. That means that if you want to get rid of anything you have to go to the person in charge of equipment and find out what paperwork you need to fill out to have it removed. Break a leg! ------------------------------ ...
