We just did a play called But Why Bump Off Barnaby. It was a lot of fun and the kids and audience really enjoyed it. It has a fun set with a lot of trick scenery. Good luck. I hope you find what you're looking for. ------------------------------ Ray Karns Theatre Teacher Wakefield School The Plains ...

I know I've had years like that as well. Is there any possibility of changing the show. Maybe do a smaller cast musical such as "Little Shop of Horrors" so the accountable ones aren't left out. It would be a hassle but might solve your problem. Good luck and keep plugging along. ------------------------------ ...

We took a play called Play On! by Rick Abbot. Just remember that you have only two hours for your performance and that include load-in and load-out time. They will explain all this but you have to have to get rights for the UK and not the US. Often different publishers. ------------------------------ ...

I took a group there with the American High School Theatre Festival a couple of years ago. It was a great experience. My kids got a lot out of it and Edinburgh and the Fringe are amazing. I will say that it's pretty expensive and required a lot of work getting the kids to rehearse during the summer but ...

Hello theatre hive, I have a soundboard available. We’ve upgraded ours and are looking to move this one out of storage. It works perfectly well and it’s a Yamaha MG32/14fx. I’ve attached pics. It’s $500 + shipping or best offer. Let me know if you are interested. Ray Karns Theatre director Wakefield ...

I use a sight called freesound.org and have found many recordings of actual thunder. They have a myriad of other sound effects as well. ------------------------------ Ray Karns Theatre Teacher Wakefield School The Plains VA ------------------------------

We did The Elephant Man last year because I also had a very strong male lead. It was a very powerful show and my student won awards for it. He had to contort his body for the whole show. It wasn't easy but people are still talking about over a year later. ------------------------------ Ray Karns ...

When we did it a couple of years ago, we had the same problem. Our solution was to have the ladder carried across the stage and to then place it where the audience couldn't see it. Keller crawled up and stuck his head through the window and made it look as though he was helping her down when in reality ...

I did this show a few years ago. I found one at the local Tractor Supply. It was a smaller one but we made it work with the well that we built. Here's a link to the site. Good luckhttps://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/cast-iron-pitcher-pump

I did this show a couple of years ago and I didn't have anyone actually playing Harvey. The actor playing Elwood just spoke to him as if he were there the whole time. We had doors that opened and closed by themselves, etc. It was very effective and challenging for the actor.

When we did it about 4 years ago, I used two of those switchblade combs, removed the comb and replaced it with a very heavy duty and stiff foil that looked like a blade. They still worked like a switchblade. We did not, however, stab it into the table. I just had them lay it on the table. I may be wrong ...

We just did B&B this past year. While we ended up making most of our costumes, I did find a company called Heartland Costumes that was pretty reasonable. Sent from my iPad

Have you thought of 12 Angry Men/Women/Jurors. We did it a few years ago and it was a big hit.

Does anyone know if Charlie's Aunt is in the public domain? It was first performed in 1892 so it should be but Samuel French charges royalties for it. ------------------------------ Ray Karns Theatre Teacher Wakefield School The Plains VA ------------------------------

We just did Beauty and the Beast. Your baritone could be the Beast and your alto could be Belle. She's really not very high. You would still have to figure out Gaston. We were sold out every night (a first ever) and it brought in huge amounts of income from tickets. A lot of work but the kids were totally ...
