What resources can I use to point my students in the right direction? I know there are scholarship auditions at our local festival, but ...

We just closed All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten. It was amazing and very easy to adapt to whatever your cast is like. I had 3 high-schoolers, 7 middle schoolers, and a 3rd grader. We still rocked it.

I'm in an MA program that has an optional summer recidency. You could also do just online courses. It's been really beneficial. I've gained directing, dialect, makeup, and writing skills. It's thought Regent University. ------------------------------ Sheryl Davis Secondary Language Arts/Drama Director ...

There are some great videos about Foley art online. I showed those and then had the students use a silenced clip from a cartoon to create sound effects for. They had to do the research to discover what items could be used to create what sounds. Your right, it was amazingly fun. ------------------------------ ...

I am in the process of laying out the schedule for Annie Jr. , and as I plan, I was wondering if anyone had any helpful hints, tips, or advice to offer. I plan to have 3-4 beginning rehearsals that just focus on dancing/music and then dance call/music call before each rehearsal for the scene we are rehearsing. ...

Depending on how large the lights have to be, Amazon has some awesome mini-lights for around $15. You get a 20 ft strand with 8 flash settings. They are called Kohree led lights. They're little but bright.

For that, I use Voice Recorder and free sounds on YouTube and drop them into Google Drive. Then you open them from Drive to PlayFadePause. ...

Thank you all for your advice. I too operate on the personal character is much more important than stage character. I strive to develop good people, and if they happen to become good actors that's even better. I didn't want to cut her from the show and stressed repeatedly that rehearsal behavior is used ...

How do you guys handle students who are constantly complaining, acting like divas (7th grader who thinks he/she should be the lead role in EVERYTHING), and infect the rest of the cast with their less than stellar rehearsal attitude? I've tried pep-talks, asking if there was a problem outside of class, ...
