Has anyone tried to get permission to change any of the male characters to female in And then There Were None? The logical choice seems to be Dr. Armstrong but I haven't mapped it through the script. I'd love to do the play, but I need to make sure I have enough roles for women. ------------------------------ ...

Hi everyone, I'm hoping to produce Radium Girls next fall (based on the great reviews the show has received in this forum!) Has anyone done any co-curricular activities based on this play? I can see great connections with science, history, women's studies, business....  I'd love to hear what you've ...

"The Still Alarm" is a very funny one-act by George Kaufman for 5 males. "The Barbarians are Coming" by Luigi Jannuzzi is also very funny for 3 males.  Both plays use a similar premise and could be paired if you need to maximize the number of performers. ------------------------------ David ...

I picked up a book a few years ago called "Acting the Song: Performance Skills for the Musical Theatre" that looks like a great resource for a class such as yours. I've not been able to use it yet, but I am impressed with the material and how it is designed for classroom use with access to downloadable ...

I'm just starting to produce Godspell for our spring musical and I am interested in hearing how some others have set and staged the show. My thought is to set the show in a back alley of a city with the cast members coming from various walks of life, but I'm wondering if anyone has tried something else, ...

Hi everyone, I'm in my second year at a small private high school (130 students) where I've been rebuilding the theatre program. Last year, we produced Fools to great success with a simple set and lighting. This year, I'm producing 12 Angry Jurors in the fall and am looking for an accessible, easy-to-produce ...
